YAMUNA WORKSHOP
Working the Superficial Front Line (SFL) to elevate our gait, walk/run freely and lengthen out the frontal line of the body. By freeing the hip flexors and elongating the abdominals, working up the sides of the neck in to the skull we create relief for the lower and upper back and the connection to our legs. The SFL extends from our feet to the skull. Post Christmas the abdominals usually benefit from being lengthened, whether this is from excess eating, drinking and sitting or from excessive exercise. Or both!!! A healthy front line = a healthy spine and contributes to excellent posture and is a major factor in being able to improve breathing capacity. We will start the session with 30 - 40 minutes of Yamuna Foot Fitness. Breath work is integral to every Yamuna practice but we conclude with a more focused practice around the rib cage and diaphragm.
