COUNSELLING WITH GEMMA

A space to understand yourself, feel heard and explore change.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may find yourself caught in familiar patterns, struggling with relationships, or carrying experiences that feel difficult to make sense of.

Perhaps you feel anxious, low, disconnected from yourself or unsure how to move forward.

You may not have a clear reason for how you feel, just a sense that something needs attention.

Counselling offers a space to pause, reflect and begin to understand yourself more deeply, without judgement or pressure to have everything figured out.

A little about me

I’m Gemma, a qualified counsellor with training in Transactional Analysis (TA), alongside over 20 years of experience as a yoga teacher and bodywork practitioner.

My counselling work is grounded in the belief that our experiences, relationships and early life patterns can shape how we see ourselves and navigate the world.

I offer a warm, compassionate and collaborative space where we can explore what matters to you, at your own pace.

My approach is informed by Transactional Analysis, which can help us understand recurring patterns, develop greater self-awareness and discover new ways of relating to ourselves and others.

How I can support you

You may be looking for support with:

  • Anxiety, low mood or feeling overwhelmed

  • The impact of trauma or abusive experiences

  • Relationship difficulties and recurring patterns

  • Boundaries, self-worth and self-acceptance

  • Understanding your emotions and feeling more connected to yourself

You don’t need to know exactly what you want to work on before beginning counselling. We can explore that together.

A whole-person approach

My background in yoga and bodywork has shaped my appreciation of the connection between our physical and emotional experiences.

While counselling focuses on your thoughts, feelings, relationships and experiences, I also recognise that our emotional wellbeing can influence how we experience our bodies.

This perspective informs my work, while counselling remains a distinct therapeutic space centred on you and what you need.

Beginning counselling

Starting counselling can feel like a big step. You may feel uncertain, nervous or simply curious about whether it could help.

You are welcome to get in touch to ask questions and find out more about working together.

You don’t have to navigate everything on your own.
